Yesterday we took the S out for a bit, just riding local roads and enjoying the near perfect day. Temps were in the mid 60s when we left and mid 70s when we got back. We like days when we can wear the leathers. Any direction we go from home is twisty so direction didn't matter so much. We headed toward Saluda to take a few pics.
The first pic was Crystal Springs in Laurel Park. This is just a coupe of miles from home.

Another photo op a few more miles down the road at the Mill House Lodge in Flat Rock, NC. Flat Rock has several really nice places to stay and the restaurants all have excellent food.

We meandered for a while then stopped at Green River BBQ in Saluda for lunch.

I even made room in the tankbag for leftovers.

This motel has been closed for years but the sign is cool. The road to here is cool as well, Saluda Grade.

We horsed around Tryon after lunch.

Temporarily confused and prone to wandering.

But you can't really get lost and the road to here was a nice one. A right, a left, and we're back on roads we know, which isn't a bad thing.
More twisty bits.

Over the river and through the woods....

Soon we are home again. We were never more than 30 miles from the house during our 4 hour tour.
Hope all y'all had a nice day. We sure did.

Now it's time for new tires, an oil change, and then Arkansas!
