There were six of us total. You have to figure, with a group that big, some things are going to happen. My friend Jamie took a spill in the sand. He hit hard enough to ring his bell. He toughed it out and pushed on though. He was black and blue all over a couple of days later.

Jose. He is the caretaker of the mission and part of the family. He said he remembered X and I from several years ago, lol.

I didn't ride through them. I think they would just crush.

It wasn't long before we had several encounters with the huge gray whales and their babies, thanks to our most excellent boat driver and guide.

Each of us had a turn petting these docile, giant whales. It was truly an awesome experience for me.

Man, Jeff, thanks for the photos of a great ride. Hope Karl and your other bud are healed. Did that old blue thing you ride keep up with everyone OK, or did they have to wait for you to catch up every once in a while?

Tyson, the old blue beast did a fantastic job. I put knobbies on it, thankfully, before the trip. No one was waiting. Granted, it may need a couple of pieces welded or replaced, haha. I never said I didn't crash, it's just that no one was fast enough with their camera to prove it.
Karl, X and I made unbelievable time coming home (all pavement). We left Cabo San Lucas on Monday morning and each of us was in our respective homes on Wednesday night (Colorado, OK and TX). That included a border crossing and loading up the bikes in our three pick- ups, which we had parked in Yuma.

Sounds like a great time. X and Karl can be fun when they try!
