I had a plan in my head for a day of PAVED twisty riding. My plan was to head south to Baker WV pickup Rt259 into VA then cut across thru Turleytown to RT33, then blast over the ridge that separates Va & WV on RT33. That's a lot of FUN!!! Then turn right on Sweedlin Valley Rd in Oak Flat, then left on Siple Mountain Rd (it's paved) over to Kiser Gap/S. Mill Creek Rd north to Rt220 in Petersburg. Stop at the Cub Cadet dealer & pickup parts for the lawn mower, then depending on time choose a route home. That was the plan.
While heading south on 259 I put Brandywine WV into the GPS AS I'VE DONE BEFORE to get me over to RT33, this time the GPS took a different route turning right on Bergton Rd Bergton Rd was great so I thought good job GPS...Bergton Rd

Then it had me turn left on Criders Rd which became Camp Run at some point, Criders Rd started out good but gradually became tighter & rougher until it turned to gravel

Since I'm running Dunlop TrailSmarts 90/10 tires I probably should have turned around but I was committed (or should have been) . The road continued to get tighter & steeper as it wound it's way up the ridge.

Crossed back into WV at the top & the road improved...for a couple hundred yards...

Then started the steep descent, I had forgotten to turn off the ABS but was reminded when it kicked on...

Somehow I Made it down WITHOUT falling down & was feeling pretty proud of myself till I looked up & saw a stream crossing the road...no time to think about it I just blasted thru. OK that wasn't too bad I lookup & the damn stream curved around & went back across the road this time looking more difficult & was

After that it was pretty easy until...HALLELUJAH

25 minutes 26 seconds that seemed like 2 hours & 25 minutes & 26 seconds.
Why the GPS took me this way made no sense, I came out on Sweedlin Valley Rd 5 or 10 miles north of Rt33 & no where near Brandywine & I missed out on Rt33.
I was able to continue on with my plan heading south on Sweedlin Valley then right on Siple Mountain. Picked up my parts in Petersburg then hit some favorite twistys heading home.
All in all a fun 250 mile day.
The GSA is truly an amazing do it all bike.
