Debbie and I did mostly back roads down and back to the BMW MOA National Rally in Lebanon Tennessee.
Most days we had storms chasing us but we had dry roads for the trip.
Had a few detours because of the Missouri and Mississippi River floods.
South East of Cape Girardeau Missouri Hwy 3 had water right up to the road white line for long stretches and one section had about 2 inches of water flowing over the road.
The DOT had alternating one lane traffic on this section.
Wish I could have taken some pictures along hwy 3 to show the flooding but didn't like the idea of parking on the water covered shoulder.
The first night we stayed at a old Route 66 motel in Cuba Mo.
There was a group from New Zealand driving 5 Mustang GTs doing the complete route.
After a good breakfast down the street we headed south east.
After this point is where we had water on hwy 3 on the way south to Cairo, Il.
The only pictures I took at the rally was of friends
I did get this picture while working registration on Thursday.
Bill and Jean Jarrell from Naperville. Met them at our first MOA rally. It was the last rally where Wis. and Chicago were combined.
Steve from Blanco Texas.
Bill Morgan, Joe and Julie

Friday morning we rode down to Tullahoma Tn. to visit the Beechcraft Museum.
Beechcraft Staggerwing
Saturday morning we rode over near Nashville to visit Andrew Jackson's Hermitage.
Pictures were not allowed inside.
Most of the items in the home were original.
Sunday we started back for home. It was a little over 900 miles and we broke it up into three days so we could do back roads and have time for stops.
As it turned out storms were chasing us so we did not make a lot of stops.Sunday and Monday it poured not long after getting in.
Tuesday it rained right after pulling into the garage.
Jefferson Davis State Historic Site.
Picture from last year.
Overlook at Wickliffe Kentucky for the confluence of the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers.
On a clear day you you can see both the Mississippi and Ohio River bridges.
Lot's of barges sitting idle due to flooding.
It started to rain as we unpacked the bikes at Sikeston, Mo.
30 to 60 minutes later it got serious with rain, wind and lightning.
Radar showed a tornado east of the Mississippi but we never heard if one was sighted by a spotter.
Monday I was watching the storm on my GPS and decided we had time for ice-cream before arriving in Cuba Mo.
Neat little store on hwy 21 in Caledonia Missouri.
Just made it to the Wagon Wheel Motel in Cuba before the lightning and hard rain.
Originally I had planned to take hwy 94 along the river to Hermann Mo. but it was flooded, so we went through Jefferson City instead.
It was interesting to see the flooding in that area and saw streets flooded in downtown Jeff City.
Going through on the way home it looked like water had gone down a couple feet.
