Hey Lee,Originally posted by Lee View PostI'm used to looking for New Posts. When a Comment is made it does not show as a new post and it's easy to miss.
If I want to check for comments I have to open a thread and look through all the posts.
Is it possible to have Comments trigger a New Post?
There are some differences so I will take a moment to show how this site shows new posts.
On both a PC and iOS device (I'm not sure what Android looks like), when you browse to the main page the new posts appear in two locations. Under the "New Posts" section and as a highlighted area in the forums section. Here is a pic:
On my phone, the "New Post" section is at the bottom, just keep scrolling.
If you want to be notified of new posts, then you can go into your user account settings, select the notifications tab, and there are a ton of options you can select.
I hope that helps.

I mainly use a desktop and click on New Topics.
I see a list of threads and to the far right under Last Post it may show "Joe posted one day ago".
The problem is, there may be 4 or 5 new Comments in the last couple hours.
If I read your post the previous day, I think there's nothing new in the thread and don't open it.Last edited by Lee; 12-04-2019, 07:48 PM.Lee

There are two separate sections. New Topics only shows new threads. New Posts will show the latest posts. On my PC, topics is on the left and posts on the right. Is this not the same?Originally posted by Lee View PostI mainly use a desktop and click on New Topics.

Here is a screenshot that shows new posts in a thread, a new comment, and a new quote (maybe not in that order).Originally posted by justjoe;n14734
Here is the screenshot that shows both posts and comments.

Did you see the View All link at the bottom of that section? That gets you all the new posts. Did you want that as a page you could leave as a home page? Maybe that is what you are mumbling on about. Can I talk to Debbie?

Here's an example.
Lets say you start a new post and everyone replies by using the Comment option instead of Reply or Quote.
When I click on New Topic I'll see your thread in the list.
I read your thread and and latter in the day I click on New Topics again. I look to the right and it shows no posts or replies even though five people made Comments.
When I see this I don't bother to open your thread again and I miss seeing all the Comments.
No you can't talk to Deb
