    Wanted used GS

I sold my K1200S a year ago. Looking for a used 1200 GS. Maybe that will be a better riding position for my old knees. The closer the bike is to Yorktown, VA, the better. Thanks

Good luck my friend! I love the GS. Any preference for year? Also, maybe we can talk MattB into buying a few and selling cheap!

I browse the Flea Market at least once a week. They always have a killer bike for sale, and they are usually gone pretty quick if it is a great deal.

Get something 2010 or newer if possible. Valve adjustment done with shims and holds longer. Trying to suggest a year that does not have the fuel strip. I have forgotten the last year used. Check the spokes. Any loose or broken count that as a problem. Shipping by Haul bikes is about 600$ so if you find a good one and can't ride it home...
Just checked my local Craig's list and the 2012's are around 8K. Lots of deals out there for affordable bikes. Plenty of info out there how to do the maintenance on an R bike. Much easier than a K series, and cheaper too. Well, I just checked Virgina area Craigs list. Not so many bikes as the Seattle area.

Yes, lots of them and thousands of dollars cheaper than the East Coast.

Mission accomplished. It's just not used. Pics tomorrow after I pick it up.

Did you get it from Morton's or Adventure?

I bought it at Adventure BMW in Chesapeake. Rick did a great job in working on the price. I am more than satisfied. He also did some other magic. This is the third bike that I bought at Adventure.

What a beautiful bike! I know the wheels are not for everyone, but when I saw them I had to have them. When I bought my tricolor K1200S, the cosmic blue wheels are what did it. There is more electrical stuff on this bike than there is at a nuclear power station.
