If a helmet has been worn and absorbed head fluids [sweat] the foam will start to break down after about 5 years. Just saying.

Besides it was only worn a dozen times.

And I"ll bet that none of you naysayers, and jokesters have ever picked up a favorite helmet that you liked and didn't throw away for more than 5 years.
If you do, you will find that the foam will fall out in flakes and powder and look like black dandruff on your head. DAMHAK!

What Doug said. The foam used to degrade after a few years but we have 12 year old Shoei's that are still like new inside. We no longer wear them but that's more choice than function. A few of the older ones were retired to a shelf between the living room and kitchen.

Someone should buy Bill's wife's helmet. It's a good deal.

I sweat profusely, but it's down much lower than the helmet.

Cedar wood chips in a stocking in the lid will help.
WARNING : REMOVE STOCKING BEFORE WEARING HELMET

It's been years since I had the comfort liner fall apart on one of my helmets. Never had one where the Styrofoam fell apart.
Like I mentioned before, if the helmet was only used a dozen times the comfort liner and Styrofoam should be in good shape.

The big problem with the helmet for sale is the picture of Bill on the sun visor.
Who wants to look at that all day riding down the road
                Sorry Bill
