Antigravity jump starter

I was thinking of buying a antigravity jump starter battery pack as a safety back up measure before leaving on a long trip in a couple weeks. seems this brand has some great reviews on revzilla. Thinking of the XP3, does anyone have any experience with these, or does anyone recommend a particular brand? Was also thinking of carrying a first aid kit, but have no clue on which kit to purchase, any suggestions on these would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Dan

Hey Dan! I have another brand and for the bike and other accessories, it's great. It'll jump a bike (I've used it on thumpers mostly) many times on a single charge and still have enough to charge a phone or other peripheral type device. But don't think this will be that great for a car or something that requires more cold cranking amps than a simple bike. It'll do it, on a full charge and after a few minutes of letting it charge the bigger battery.

Other than that, I carry it pretty much every trip, just in case. I should have bought the AntiGravity branded battery pack because they are supposedly the best, but I got a great deal...

This reminds me of a trip, back in the late 70s, from Las Vegas to Zion NP to Grand Canyon to Hoover Dam and back to Las Vegas. One of my Riding Buds had a Suzuki GS1000 that had a failing Voltage Regulator during the Trip. We simply swapped batteries (I had a Yamaha XS750E) at Gas Station Fill-ups during the >1000 mile trip. Another option is carry a set of Motorcycle Jumper Cables.

I have two antigrav batteries, not the same, but I have been happy with both. One is maybe 5 years old now.
One use of the microstart on a track bike is using the smallest battery on the bike, about the size of a cigarette carton and weighs about as much. That's what I have on my gixxer.
On cold track mornings you could use the microstart to jump start the bike. If not, it takes several cranks to warm up the battery. Scares you when you aren't expecting it, but these batteries can be weak when cold but easily power up when cranked for a couple seconds..

Last month I purchased a XP3 when Anti Gravity had a 20% discount on ADV.
I decided on the XP3 because it has 2 USB ports and the smaller unit only had one.
It's cheaper on Amazon but heard of complaints about counterfeit Anti Gravity jump packs just like you hear about counterfeit GS911 units.
This replaces the motorcycle jumper cables I've carried for years.
The jump pack will have the added benefit of jumping the bike if I'm out by myself plus being able to charge devices.

If you want a smaller package they sell a battery pigtail that mates to the charger.
This way you don't have to carry the bulky jumper clamps.
I didn't go this route because I won't be able to help other riders if I don't have the jumper clamps with me.

A good trick is as JustJoe says, clip on and step back for a few minutes. Then give the start sequence a go. I carry one but only have used it to start my sisters Subaru.

I have the XP10. Slightly bigger, but capable of all of the above mentioned and will also power a CPAP all night long for a couple of nights in a pinch.
It will jump any vehicle out there, even a diesel caterpillar. Its always in my topbox.

I use the xp10 at work to start v8 landcruisers aand even a small tractor. Amazing device. I have antigravity LiFePO4 batteries in my bikes as well. Great products!

Mani, I think you just convinced me to get one of these. I have a portable camping CPAP but the best it can do on a charge is not quite a full night's sleep. If I can extend that to a couple of nights before having to find a hotel room, it'll be a game changer for me. I can charge things on the go in my GS top box but when I'm on my smaller bikes I need something that can charge all my stuff overnight in the tent as well. I'm guessing the that one of the several 12V adapters that comes with the XP-10 will work in my HDM Z1.

If your CPAP uses a proprietary USB cable you can still carry that and plug it into the XP-10.

Wes, you might have to rig that cord up. Dont know what the Z1 uses. My Dreamstation runs on native 12V. so its easy.
