I've had my iPhone mounted on the bars of my GS for many thousands of miles over many trips and it seems several days in to just about every multi-day trip the USB charging cord fails. Every single time I've isolated the problem to a cord that no longer works. It used to be Apple iPhone charging cords that were failing so I tried my own home made strain relief and none of that worked. On the next long ride, a cord would fail and I'd replace it and ride on. Then I went to the quad lock vibration isolating inductive charging mount thinking maybe it was the sharp bend in the cable to plug directly in to the phone. The quad lock mount has a USB-USB-C cable that I plug in to an adapter on the dash of the bike. On a week long trip in May, my phone stopped charging - replaced the cable and rode on. Now on my last week long ride from Annapolis to Calgary, same thing happened again.
Is this happening to anyone else?
When I go back to Calgary to begin the next phase of my ride to Tuk, I'm going to be using these cables on the quad lock mount:

I'm hoping that the braided cable, built-in strain relief, and maybe the 90 degree USBC connector will be more robust.
