    *hitty start yesterday.

Backed out of the garage with my k1200RS and my jeep was just close enough so that the bumper touched the bags and pushed me over.

After I got it off my leg, I was able to pick the bike back up, barely, and drove off still breathing hard. A mile down the road I noticed the brake warning light still on. Come to find out, the brake pedal is slightly bent, and the brake light/pump circuit activated, causing the light to be on.

Figured I'd get the toolkit from under the seat, to "adjust" the pedal and microswitch, but the seat lock cylinder is gone. Missing. Not there.

    Anyone replaced one of those?

I’d rather think someone’s a son of a bitch than to have him think I’m a son of a bitch.

Replaceable locks are not too expensive from BMW. Your parts guy must be able to hook you up.
Be sure to buy the kit that comes with the tumblers in a baggie.
Rekeying them to your key is no big deal. I did it myself for the topbox on the XR.

I've done this on the RS, installing a new one is a piece of cake.

Assuming you have the luggage racks (sounds like you do), there should be a short "extender" piece as well, do you have that in the hole or has it fallen out as well? It's simply an extender to account for the extra length to reach the tumbler when it's installed in the rail.

Assuming you have the "extender", all you need is a new tumbler and lock chips to key it. As Mani mentioned, it's an easy process. Here again, I've done it to match my bags with my ignition key. Once the correct chips are put in place, the new tumbler simply twists into place.

If you get all the pieces, or think that you do, and can't figure it out, I'd be happy to try talking you through it all on the telephone.

        Good Luck!

There is a very informative, step by step guide on YT which is where I learned it from.
