          !!
Glue or thin double stick tape over the existing pieces.
You might consider exchanging them for other pieces.

            Lee,
Yes I did realize that they are taped over the existing, they did not include the tape, but I do not care for them, sending them back!! Like cabnfvr Said, they don't fit over the existing very well. Looks like crap, big disappointment.

I installed, but then removed the front fairing pieces. Installation was thin doublesided 3M tape but they still didn't fit as well as i would have liked. Other than those two pieces I love the carbon fiber bits. Our K1300S has the fairing side covers (beside of the instrument cluster), air intakes, rear cowl, and factory carbon heel guards and exhaust trim.

I do like the air intakes, but why are they so pricey??

Friends don't let friends buy carbon fiber parts. It's a disease that shows every sign of being incurable and only goes into remission when you have no money left to spend. And even then, you'll look enviously at another's bike that has more CF parts than yours and it'll ruin your enjoyment of your own bike.

There's more pricing fixing and inflation in CF parts than DeBeers has in diamonds. So far I've been immune to the disease possibly because I come from an aviation world where entire aircraft are made from CF and it's not the bling of unobtainium parts that it is in the motorcycle world.

              Just say no to CF.

              You're welcome.

Or a Ducati 1200 Monster R. That thing was $5,000 more than my KTM 1290 R and while not as good a performer, had CF all over it.
