When installing the Touratech upper crash bars on a 2019 R1250GS, does the rubber "bumper" on the lower portion of the upper bars go IN the hole in the frame or is is supposed to basically align with it as a bumper? For some reason, the install was good up until I tried to put the lower bolt in right next to that bumper. I spent probably an hour trying to get the bolts on either side in and failed. I could screw in the bolt without the bar bracket in place, but not with the bar bracket in place. I was wondering if I was supposed to hit the bracket with a rubber mallet until that rubber "bumper" went inside the hole.

Thanks. I just watched them. The videos are for the engine or "lower" crash bars. I have them on already. I also watched the upper crash bar video by Touratech, before and while trying to install the bars. The bumper for the upper bars doesn't have the rubber washers on them like the lower bars. Maybe i need to add some lubricant to see if the bumpers go in the frame hole.
Thanks again.
