K1300 s headlight repair

I need some help. My headlights were adjusted to low and I tried to adjust them higher. The screw adjustment didn't make any difference so I kept turning it and it apparently came out of the adjuster on the headlights. When this happened the headlights jumped way high. Whet has to come off to fix this? I know dumb mistake.

That happened to our 2015 K1300S. The dealer said it requires a new headlight. Our was under warranty. If there are any speed shops near you they may know how to separate the headlight housing to get to the adjuster. Car guys take headlights apart to install custom LED lights. Worth a shot.

Thanks, I will probably take it apart myself and see what happened. I have trouble believing the whole headlight assembly needs to be replaced. I was looking for a shortcut getting it apart to see what the problem is.

I hope you don't have to buy a new light, a new K1200/1300S headlight costs $998.
I checked Beemerboneyard and they don't have one.

K1300S and K1200S light have the same part number but you should double check that.

I did the same Lee and I bought the headlight assembly, the part number matched for my 2015 K1300HP. Thanks again for the tip.
