    K1200r iABS1 removal.

There are a few videos of removal on other models but not all that detailed re the fiddly bits and often hard to see..

Here I'll list the steps for a K1200R, and I presume a K1200S too.. You'll need a set of torx tools & rags a set of pliers..

    1. Remove the seat.
    2. Remove the front bodywork around the tank. Remove the battery.
    3. have rags to place around the ABS brick to catch any dropped brake fluid.
    4. remove the tank, disconnect all hoses, QD, electrical connections. Set the hoses aside a little so that they're just clear of the brick to enable removal of the brick.
    5. I used small rubber caps to cover the hard hose lines. To remove them, use a small flat screwdriver to slide the locating pins, install the caps, store the clips safely.
    6. Remove the electrical connections from the top of the brick. Set aside.
    7. disconnect the #6 breather hose that connects to the two short hoses. Set aside.
    8. Remove the two upper front subframe bolts. By slightly dropping the subframe from the top, you gain just enough room and easier access to the #4 two plastic expansion studs that retain the ABS plastic support.

    9. Lift the top of the plastic studs with a flat screwdriver, then grasp with some pliers and pull it upwards. They just pull out.

    10. Remove the #5 small torx screw at the middle front of the ABS plastic support shelf. Don't drop it. With that screw and the two studs out, now you can move the plastic shelf forward. It needs to move at least 1 inch. That enables clearance so it can be lifted and tilted.
    11. #2 holds a relay and it doesn't need to come off so leave it there. You can still access the 3 #5 retaining bolts ...
    12. Remove the 3 #5 retaining torx screws. One is on the right side, the other two are underneath and towards the left edge.
    13. Lift it out...done.

I hope that helps someone else. feedback welcome.
