Tire Pressures With Temperature and Altitude Changes

I keep this chart next to my air compressor.
I use a gauge and use the PSI compensated to 68. My gauge matches the bike TPM when compensated to 68F.
On trips I look at the TPM reading every day or two to make sure I don't have a slow leak.
I don't check with a gauge on a trip.

I once stopped in Eureka Nevada on a ride. The folks there are 4 hours each way from a big box store so they have a big van and take the shopping list of everyone in town with then when they go.

Wes, that's my preferred mixture as well. I almost never put in the "recommended" pressure unless I'm two up and carrying a refrigerator on the rack. Mid-30's on my GS wears evenly, gives me better grip when I'm chasing MattB, and rides better.
