I ordered a socket from Beech to replace the front and rear ESA struts on my 2010 with 40k. Needless to say it got stalled in Florida during shipping, and me not being the most patient individual, devised a way to torque the shaft without the special socket to allow you to hold the shaft at 7nm while tightening the locknut to 145nm.
Since that shaft extends beyond the forks a good inch, I decided to try and double nut it to hold the shaft stationary and lo and behold; it worked perfectly. I then removed the double nuts, dropped on some blue thread dope and torqued the cap nut to 30nm. Done deal.
