Question on leaking fork seal on Telelever suspension

    #2
Other than the seals you already plan to replace I only see spacer tubes and guide elements.
$50 US for 5 spacer tubes and $48 for a set of guide elements.
#4 are the spacer tubes and #5 are the guide elements.

So basically they don't do much other than provide a little bit of frictionless movement and the leak won't pose a major issue with handling (though clearly I want to get this fixed sooner rather than later, before it loses all of its lubricant). Would this be a fair interpretation?

        That would be my guess.
Hopefully someone with more mechanical knowledge will jump in and confirm this for you.

My experience with the same type of fork on the K1200LT is just replace the seals when you can get to it. The fork does not provide any damping. Also the guide elements and spacers were not worn on my 80,000 mile forks so it was a waste of money for me to buy them as I could not measure any wear. Just replace the seals and dust covers.
