Thanks Mike. Eric you and me, we love the GSA. Others are just antifa about it.

I think I need two of them, the city and the juggernaut ones. Plus a map case.

Thanks Lee. I bought it from Germany. Took its sweet time to get here, mainly due to usps.
Thats exactly how it is. Just place it on the rank ring and the magnets pull it precisely into place and lock it. Everytime.

          [QUOTE=aviator;n24192]
I have been working on it in the evenings when I get some time, but the heat is not conducive to make such activities pleasurable as it should be.
Here is what I have done so far, a lot of it transferred from my previous R1200.

Installed the Canswitch after I removed all the plastic so I could properly route the wires and to install the light bar.
Installed the LED lights to a Denali light bar and wired to Canswitch.
          TT tool box.
          TT head lamp protector.
          TT lower crash bar braces.
BMW HP foot pegs, Giles Racing.
LED rear aux light strip wired to Canswitch.
          Alt Rider side stand foot.
          China.com rear FD skid thingy.
Wired up the Radar detector into the Canswitch along with the Marc Parnes LED. Along with it is a lead for powering the tank bag later on.
Installed the SW Mototech City Pro tank bag, not yet released in the US.
          Sargent seats.
          Mudsling front and back.
Tankslapper paint protection film on the sides and back of the fuel tank.
Ditched the OEM tiny battery and switched my big ass Yuasa over.

Still to go The MAM ADVance hand guards.

snip. How and why did you "Wired up the Radar detector into the Canswitch along with the Marc Parnes LED." What does this do? Thanks

Mike, the radar detector just gets its power from the Canswitch so it only stays hot when the bike is on. The Parnes LED is a very bright RED LED that mounts on top of the Nav so it is in your line of sight and blinks rapidly to any radar audio output. It plugs into the audio out of the RD.
            Hope this helps.

Oh geez.... this thread has got me shopping for a new tankbag now.
The BMW one's map case is getting yellowed and probably crack soon.

Mike go for the City Pro. Just works. And they have made the top side slightly firm, which adds to a nice overall structure. Its fabulous.

Thanks, I looked at it. Wondering if I should get the Tablet Dry Bag or the map case.
I have a tablet and may use it but mostly use a map. The tablet case could double as both?

                  #25
Mike, I don't see the map case as available at this time.
The tablet case looks a little narrow for two folds of a map.
                  https://sw-motech.us/products/luggag.../PRO+tank+bag/

On the MOA forum Twisted Throttle said they would have the bags available later this week.

I have a feeling that a tablet out in the sun will overheat and shutdown. A map is a map. Cant beat it for overall situational awareness.

I've heard a lot of complaints about iPhones overheating in a tank bag map window.
I also don't like the idea of always removing the tablet every time I walk away from the bike.

I always fly with an I pad on my windshield in the airplane. Thats my MFD. Have been for years. I am an android person and have the Ipad just to fly, updated to the latest ones out there. fly both fixed wing and drones with it. I currently sport a 12.9 pro. I use a Surface Pro as a traveling pad/laptop when I go military.
Having said all that, all I need to do is pull up to fill Avgas, and by the time it takes to fill up (self service) that stupid thing will overheat in the midday sun on a hot summer day. It will shut itself off and I have no ground taxi pics to the active runway. This is at enroute airports that I am not so familiar with. I have to pull up the AFD and diagrams on my cell phone (pixel) .
                    So beware.
Pittsdriverwes will probably attest to this as well. But then he is a Pitts driver, he dont need to stinkin MFDs.

                          Probably for good reason.

The SW Moto bags look good until you want a map pocket. I wish someone would make a good old fashioned tankbag with a true map pocket. One that is integrated into the design and not a hideous afterthought.
