Not always true my friend. On that day we were following Doug on his K1200S and DYL-Jim on his MV Augusta. We were 2-up on our black K1200S. A friend of Jim's was behind us also on an MV. We entered a tight right hander and my toe hit so I lifted the bike slightly. Simultaneously to this a car came around the turn at a high rate oncoming to us. Boots are cheaper than bones so I dropped the bike back in. A total non-event, unless ........... poor Jim's friend behind us saw this. We enter a tight turn 2-up at speed. (He'd never seen us ride an assumed 2-up meant we couldn't do turns very well.) So we drop in, stand the bike up, drop back in and .... SMOKE! Apparently boots smoke. I never knew.

We continued our journey and stoppen in Tellico. Jim's friend was still trying to get his breath back! We were all "what?" and stuff. That was one of the finest days we've had on a bike. Great roads, Great friends. Great memories.
          I still have those boots.

Interesting sidenote, but we were both checking our rear view mirrors at exactly the same time. I thought, "Oh no!" and then, nothing. That boy should have bought a lottery ticket that day. But dang those were fun times!!

Nice... I think I can make something like that with the HD parts I find laying on the road in front of my house.
