    Earthquake

We had a little earthquake last night. It's been quite some time since I had experienced an earthquake (late 1970's when I was visiting California). It was odd, woke me up for sure. I couldn't figure out what caused it so I got up and checked the house thinking maybe it was another tree coming down or my furnace having issues. Got back in bed just in time for the aftershock to hit. Since I couldn't figure out what happened I moved on, went to work and just a little while ago found out that it was a quake. BTW, we were about 50 miles away.

Don't you think that maybe you have your sequencing wrong? Instead of earthquake, then you get up and walk around, maybe it should be you walk around, hence an earthquake. Like that whole chicken and egg thing you were talking about.
I’d rather think someone’s a son of a bitch than to have him think I’m a son of a bitch.

It could have been. But I made up part of that story. I heard a weird noise and made my wife go check the house. I was too busy sleeping....

      BTW, up yours!

Julie's a big girl, but I don't think SHE could cause an earthquake.
And quit lying online! That's not allowed.

It's from all that fracking down there.

Not really. This is the second highest reading on the richter scale. The highest rating was in 1973, long before fracking.

Had a patient from that area today. Happened between Spring City and Ten Mile. He seemed to think it was no big deal.

                WHOA - spinny!!

This is a good site for keeping an eye on things and nerdy stuff if you're interested: https://earthquakes.ga.gov.au/ ... and move over to your side of the world - lucky the other side of the lake didn't cop a tsunami! (j/k) Click on the dot for full details - If my maths is right it looks like the shock took 6 mins to travel the 3000+kms from the epicentre to the last station in Oregon. Geez, I love this stuff!

Hey Pat - there's a creek named after you just to the NW of the epicentre. Legendary!

Anyway, hope you guys don't get any more and that you haven't/don't get any damage.

Saw a similar site years ago, https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/. It's mind blowing how much the earth wiggles on a daily basis.

No, not a big deal. It was just weird. I had no clue what the noise was until the afternoon.

I've got a severe weather app on my phone from my days in hell........errr, I mean Florida. It shows earthquakes around the world and is pretty cool. But I didn't have earthquake warnings turned on and didn't even know it was an earthquake until after I was told at work.

No damage besides some lost beauty rest and I need that!
