      Motorcycle socks for cycling...

Socks designed for motorcycling will often have a thicker layer across the dorsum of the foot and the heel
      .
This works well if you use cleats to attach to the pedals.

The padding cushions the feet on the upstroke.

Wildbears, Majoric's Poggio descent was unf'ing believable. I would have pissed my bibs and wetted my tire after the FIRST gutter excursion. There wouldn't have been a second!

I fear he's living on borrowed time.

We'll see what happens with the dropper posts.

We're signed up for the RAGBRAI this summer.

        First time.

Was wanting to do the PAC Tour but our pup has been ill and this has cut into training.

Figured you received the detailed route email last week but was not sure if they give you the forum link when you register.
The forum is handy when you have questions.

Hadn't looked at the forums. Thanks again.

I'm updating the group set on the San Rensho for the RAGBRAI. It currently has Ultegra 600 components with a 39/52 crank and 8 speeds. Will upgrade to the current Ultegra with 36/50 and 11 speeds. I'm looking for lower gearing in case we hit a strong head wind. Also, better reliability as the current set is 40 some years old.

Yes, Sew Ups Really. And somehow I only got stranded once with a flat. Had too much psi on hot asphalt and the tire blew due to over expansion. I don't remember how I got home but I think we always carried a spare.

I ride a lot of gravel on my Bianchi Zurigo cyclecross bike. Because of that, I sometimes find myself on my Eddy Merckx XL Leader riding roads on which I would previously have never thought of taking this road-bike. Is this a road bike road in the photo?

It looks like gravel but it's asphalt.

One of many lakes along this bike trail. Note the Canadian Goose residue.
This lake is full of croaking frogs in the Spring.
A river is just beyond the tree-line.

Blacklick CreekTrail, Pickerington, Ohio. One of many bridges along the trail as it follows and frequently crosses large creeks. These generally run clear.

After a bicycle ride I stopped at the local brewery. While sitting out front this couple came out with electric unicycles.
The pull up handle is only used when walking with the unit.

We get electric hoverboards frequently on the local bike paths. There's always a few who have facial expressions like they are just about to lose control. No electric unicycles yet.

I asked if it was difficult when first learning to ride them and they said yes. I don't know how long they have owned them. I noticed hers was higher tech with suspension.
