Interesting to see the breakdowns and risk factors. Originally I was aware that my blood type makes me less susceptible. Then we hear white males have different risk factors, etc... it would almost take a daily scoreboard to keep track of the increases and decreases of risk.
Data and it's access are breaking these things down pretty crazy. I enjoy it but wonder how accurate these things are.

I had a appointment for my first shot tomorrow.
Things got screwed up today after my yearly check up.
I thanked to my Dr about getting my Covid vaccine tomorrow so he was aware I would get one soon.
After my appointment he had me go across the hall for a couple other vaccines.
I was on the way home when I remembered hearing you should not get any other vaccines before the Covid vaccine.
I went back and talked to the nurse and she said I had to cancel for tomorrow.
The nurse is going to call the person in charge of the Covid vaccines and get me rescheduled.
Surprised my Dr did not think about the problem with the Vaccines and surprised the person who gave me shots today did not ask if I would receive a Covid vaccine in the next couple weeks.

Thanks for the update. In hindsight I now believe I had achy lower back and a general feeling of fatigue for about three days. Since my arm really did not hurt that much I forgot about the shot and thought I was sore from working in the backyard. I get my second tomorrow and I'm anticipating similar or worse. Pfizer.

It worked out for the good.Originally posted by aviatorLee, although i agree with yu, where was your situational awareness?
Several weeks ago a friends' wife called us and she seemed stressed about being able to get on the list for a shot.
My friend is 85 and she's 80.
I avoided the first round or two so people like them could get the shot first.
It's a small county and only 200 shots are available per week. Sounds like that number is going up.
For some reason my name was picked before them.
The same hour I canceled and the same lady I talked to called them and both can show up tomorrow for a shot.
I should be able to get a free beer from my friend for this
I asked my Doctor today when he thought Debbie would be able to get a vaccine.
He heard late March or early April for the under 65 group.Last edited by Lee; 02-17-2021, 09:02 PM.Lee

Have nothing against teachers, but this catering to special interest groups is not helping. There are thousands of drug reps, for instance, poppin in out out of Dr.s offices all day every day who seem to not be a priority. All day every day.Chattanooga, TN

Second Shot at 2pm on Tuesday. No particular issues after shot but no sleep that night. Wednesday not great, aches all over, lethargic, no appetite. Long nap on Wednesday then good nights sleep. Thursday...back to my normal, charming self!
the second shot is close to the results of the shingles shot!

I reacted last night to the two vaccines I had on Wednesday, probably the Shingles vaccine.Originally posted by Loggiebone View Postclose to the results of the shingles shot!
I started to notice something when I was exercising in the afternoon. It was more difficult than normal.
Last night I was freezing and had a fever. Debbie gave me a Tylenol and my temp dropped to 99 and I was able to sleep after that.

OK . . . I got the first Trump Vaccine yesterday. (Moderna) I'm glad he cut the red-tape and got these vaccines out into circulation so that "normal" may return much sooner than most "experts" predicted.
I just hope the testing was sufficient for long-term side effects . . . I don't want my willy to fall off in two years. All the experts will re-emerge and say "Oh, that's OK . . it was expected."

Compare notes with Mike at THCR. He doesn't trust the government and will not get the vaccine.Originally posted by 955i View Post

Wes, the first shot (Moderna) was yesterday at noon. Some soreness in the evening. A good sized knot at the injection site today. Rode 25 hard gravel miles on the Bianchi today. No issues. I have worse aches and pains from working out than this caused. Wife had 2nd shot Thursday and was just tired last night. But she's a teacher and can't really say that this is "new tired" or "old tired." That's the kind of reaction I want on my 2nd one. Sounds like some folks have it tougher.
