Beth and I have COVID. For about a week now. It's not the sickest I've ever been, but it's not to laugh at either. We both have all the symptoms: no smell, sore throats, coughs, fevers. Valentine's Day should be fun.
We also have 4 dogs who sleep in our bedroom. Abel, the Great Dane, sleeps on the bed, down by our feet. One or more of the dogs will usually need to go out in the night; sometimes I let them out , sometimes Beth does.
I woke up this morning, and something was different in the bedroom. A presence was there. Not an aroma, so much as a heaviness on the nose. I got up and figured it out. When Abel had gone out in the night, he had gotten sprayed by a skunk, and when we let him back in, whoever let him in didn't smell it. Everyone went back to sleep. Abel got back on the bed, and smeared the stink onto the covers.
So now we have a day of washing sheets and the dog, airing out the house, and at the end we probably won't be able to tell if we've done any good or not. Wish us luck!

Tim is aware of this, too.
