      I've had a fun summer (read not on the computer) and I just learned of this event down in Maggie Valley this week. October 29 is my wife's birthday, but she's heard me talk much about Pete (and met him when we kept his RV here as he hiked the Appalachian trail). I brought up the event last night and she said, "I know that you loved the guy... go."

              I'm planning to be at Peaks. Doug, do you have any idea when the service, gettogether, ashes spreading, ceremony (whatever our assembling is called) will occur on Saturday? I'm like Wes, close enough to get there in a few hours, so I might come up Saturday and spend one night. Any word on that?

                Right now we're planning to come up Saturday morning. Will come to the Peaks to find everyone but will stay Saturday night at the Wattstull.

                I'm going through the same thing Eric, wait to see the Orthopedist, wait for an MRI, wait for the results, finally got an appointment with the neurosurgeon on the 17th. If he gives me a nerve block maybe I'll be able to go but I don't think so. I have to look straight down just to walk, looking up sends pain down my arm & shoulder blade.

                You guys need to play the"plumber card"... Oh, you don't have one!
                Helps when you're plumber to the stars! Just call their wives and say
                you need to speak to their husband, the surgeon.
