We're heading down in January to join all the Canadians. I lived many years in Florida and it's like a second home.

Arrived today. Tornadoes all over the place. But still better than Ohio this time of year!

River otters will take out the small gators. They run up along the back and bite just behind the skull. We used to call that pithing in the biology lab with live frogs. Done with a needle.

These are from Canaveral National Seashore, north of Cape Canaveral. The early inhabitants ate oysters. A lot. They piled the shells up into a large hill now designated Turtle Mound. It's located along Mosquito Lagoon. Boardwalks and viewing platforms were installed for us tourists and to protect the mounds.

Beach in front of the Breakers restaurant, currently closed for hurricane repair. Correction. Just the parking lot is closed. The restaurant is open.

Great sunset. Weather probably a lot warmer than it has been in Florida the past few weeks.

Haven't been to FL in twenty years, but my daughter is moving to the Orlando area in the spring.
