Is this legit? Washington famously held forth at Fraunces Tavern in New York's lower South Side. He bade his officers good-by in a famous farewell in 1783. It was a key event in American history because he could easily have taken over the nation had he not returned to Mt. Vernon. I wouldn't be shocked at this bill.

(Of course in 1975 or so, 4 patrons of the famous and popular tavern were murdered by a powerful bomb set off by Puerto Rican nationalist. Although sentenced for long terms of 35 to 90-years or more, Clinton pardoned the felons in 1999.)
