Tyson and Mike made it home safely. We had a great trip. Mike dropped me off in Wichita Falls on Friday night and went the last 45 miles to his home outside Bellevue. I stayed with my son and family until today. I rode the last 225 miles to Cushing on the Triumph this afternoon. The high was only 97 when I left but cooled to the low 90's within the first hour.
Thanks to everyone who made this event so fun. It was nice to meet in person several guys I had visited with on the internet over the years. You never get to spend enough time with interesting people, though. So, I guess that means we will have to meet up again somewhere. The rides out of Gunnison were entertaining to me. There are still lots of places in the area that I haven't seen. If Gunnison is on the schedule in the future, I will definitely try to make it.
BTW I have seen the Neowise Comet three nights in a row. It's a big deal if you are at all interested in astronomy. It is pretty impressive, even as low as it is in the evening sky. It's worth driving out of the city to see. I recommend it.
