The motel was purchased by a group of investors from NW Arkansas. No mention of the plans at this point.
Johnny Morris the founder of Bass Pro purchased the old Dogpatch property.
Maybe something will finally happen there now.

Dammit! Lee, I'm always a trendsetter, but with impeccably horrible timing. I'm saying good-by to Jasper, just as it begins to be a place to make money? Even I could afford to buy a place downtown, like the old auto parts store. But Noooooo, I'm too frugal to do such a wild thing. Jasper is a perfect place to grow in the next few years. I wonder if that includes the fire pit?
