We got home before 5pm today. Putting up stuff, went out to dinner, sorting out clothes, amazing how much that bike will hold! Pix and ride report later. Thanks, Curt, for another great time at the Gordon!

Ride report later. For now, things overhead at The Gordon".
Bill Morgan, "What's a Yankee?" Instant answer from Joe, "NOT you!!"
Bill again, upon crossing the water only to find Xavier already on the other side. "How did you get here?" Xavier, "the bridge." Bill, "Shit, I never looked up."
Matt B on my ride suggestions, "I don't know whether to shake you hand or hug you." I took the hug.
and much more. Can't wait to do this again.
Thanks Bill and Dale for the Fish Fry !!!!!!

ONLY a T-shirt? Yikes!!!! That's not really legal, even in Jasper.

Late to the thread, but what's new... finally feeling normal again after my hangover from AHR and the drive home.

Who to thank first... dang... so many people to thank, but I will start with my buddy Joe. Without Joe, I quite simply would not have been there. I didn't really have the vacation time. I really didn't have the will power to drive 1150 miles. I really was not sure that I'd have my dirt bike prepared for the trip. No matter the "issue" I had, Joe had a solution and simply wouldn't take No for an answer... it was great to see you, and thanks for the arm twisting buddy!

Bill... well, Bill was also a catalyst in getting me there. While Joe was the muscle, Bill was his tool. Many thanks to Bill for hauling my tired azz from his house the rest of the way out to Jasper. As if that were not enough, you put on an awesome fish fry, took me on a Bill Morgan Adventure, and are just an all-round great friend and guy to be around.

Dale... thanks for helping me unload and reload at Bill's, for being my chef, and for sharing life along the way while traveling.... you've got me thinking.

Tim and Susan... it's always great to see you guys and through time you've both helped bail me out of some situations. But at AHR, I leaned on Tim for some routing advice for what would be my lone street riding day and quite possibly my last good street ride of the year. Yes, I asked a guy from North Carolina for advice on roads in Arkansas. Tim has never let me down with routing advice and after a "MattB Adventure" (long day at a blistering pace) on Saturday I gave this feller a hug and told him, "Tim, you understand my LOVE language." You see, Tim seems to know what stirs my soul, no matter the state, he puts me on awesome tarmac. I'd also be silly not to mention and thank them for the awesome sticker that they bought me, "Loud Pipes Matter"... it makes me giggle and will find a spot in my garage, or on a helmet.

The Unnamed... just because I haven't called you out, do not think that I'm not thankful to you as well. As much as I love basking in the luxury of the Gordon Motel, without the great people that make up these rallies, I wouldn't even consider driving/riding the long hours to and from Jasper for just a few days. It was great to see some of the mid-westerners again, meet a few new folks, and then also reunite with the (un)usual suspects from back east... a big THANK YOU to each of you.

Until we shall be lucky enough to meet again, keep the rubber side down.

If loud pipes save lives, imagine what learning to ride that thing could do.

Was great to see you again and ride with you. You are, in my book, a superb rider and really enjoy riding behind you and learn. Great times Bro.

With Jeff, that sucks... but at least you were nearly home and the issue sounds drama free. Great to meet you!

Good to see you Jim & run with you too! Like Florida, N. Texas is pretty flat versus Jasper... lots steeper climbs than I'm used too!

Good too that you made it home safe & relatively sound. The THCR is in April so put that on your calendar if you can break away!

Was good to see you. Unfortunate that the 3 XRs could not go for a ride together. Maybe next time.
