Home at 1:30, a bit of a chilly ride back. Many thanks to Wes for setting up this family reunion (you did good on the weather) and to BMJr for feeding us, and his band of merry cleaner uppers! A very very good time!

I was home by 10:30 this morning, with a breakfast stop in Rocky Mount, VA. Most of the usual suspects showed up. Here are pics from Friday evening.

Bill Morgan fed us pretty much every night, and cheerfully! Thanks, Bro!

          Good times!

Had a good ride with BillG and Mike up to 250 where two of us turned left and the other turned right, then an equally good afternoon ride with Mike up 219 to Johnstown PA where we are staying for the night. Good to see all the folks at BRPR.

Those white/motorsports livery K1300S bikes are really great looking bikes. Every time I see yours in these photos I think "Why didn't I ever jump on that before they were discontinued."

We trail ride a few miles from there at Mountain Ridge MotoATV park and have taken folks there several times. It's a very powerful place to reflect on how important our homeland security is to our way of life.

The wife and I have been visiting that site since before there was a monument. Have not been there since it was completed. Thanks for the pics.

The highway pic brings back memories of visiting Canada every summer for two weeks of camping and two weeks of canoeing. Some of the roads had a reddish hue back then due to the red granite. Not in your pic though.

Here's a story of Eric and toast.....
Me, BillG and EricM go to breakfast (I forget the place) and we all order. Eric orders two eggs, bacon and white bread.
The waitress asked him, "You want white bread?" Eric says, "yes." I ordered Western Omelet with Rye, that's all I said.
                I got rye bread toasted....
He gets his meal and he gets "white bread", not toasted.
We had a laugh and even shared it with the waitress, who said,
"I asked you if you wanted bread and you said yes."
The next day at a different restaurant he asked for "white bread toasted". He got it toasted on one side only.
The next day he asked for white bread toasted and I added, "toasted on both sides".
                He finally got it.

Tyson, that is the same hobby horse that I found in a dumpster behind Mrs. Gordon's Motel in Jasper, AR. Tallahassee Pete lashed it to his motorcycle in the back of his pickup and drove home from the rally that way. That was minimum 3 years ago. This year he brought it to Virginia, and slipped it into my bed surreptitiously. It was like The Godfather, when the bloody horse head showed up in the Hollywood producer's bed.
And you think I'm disturbing? Compared to Pete, I'm well adjusted.
