Well, it's raining here in Oklahoma and it looks like the weather is going to take its sweet time moving east. I don't care, I still have my room in Little Switzerland awaiting me. So long as its warm and dry inside the room, to heck with the weather!

From the action on this board, I might be the only person there.

Tyson made it home tonight about 10:30 CDT. The K1300S can do some autobahn traveling with ease. 650 miles from Terre Haute to home today - with a 2-hour visit to Cahokia Mounds added in.

This was my first BRPR. The Big Lynn Lodge is an ideal place. The fact that we ate family style for breakfast and dinner was an added bonus. Going to the Rally and leaving the rally I imposed on friends for a place to stay. You know who you are and it was great being an imposition. I enjoyed the stays very much.

With the conclusion of the BRPR, do you want to do it here again? I will contact the hotel and set it up if so.

We counted 15 attendees at this year's BRPR. The weather was very decent. A little fog Monday at Mt Mitchell but that's often the case. Even with the fog there were still some beautiful long range views. Tuesday we went to Fred's General Merchantile in Beech Mountain. We've been going here for over 40 years.

A lot of time was spent jawing with Hooligans on the front porch.


A very good friend from the east made a cameo appearance.


We left Thursday for points West. Friday morning the GPS went dark. Totally. Good thing we had a road map right beside of us.


Another day; the GPS is working but who needs it. This is in Mt Vernon, MO. An easy day ride from Yellville, AR.








Big Brutus is a big mutha. Pictures don't do him justice.


Pratt KS has a very "Prattical" solution to indoor plumbing needs.

Oh Well. We were too early to go in but it's the world's largest hand dug well. Yes, it was on our way. Susan kept making "Timmy has fallen in the well" jokes.


After all this excitement we got the hell out. He was a true WWII hero.


Guanella Pass Road was one of many scenic roads we travelled.

We ate good at the Little Backbone Grill, Boulder UT.




Long Canyon on the Burr Trail Road was good.


This road goes between Kodachrome State Park and Page, AZ.

Susan took this while waiting for the restroom to become vacant when we stopped in Taos, NM for breakfast. An old clock, a crooked towel dispenser, and a BIG OL' PAN OF BACON! So much goin' on.
