Back home safe and sound at 9am and bike is currently being washed! What a good time with the best refined hooligans around. Once again, a BIG Thank You goes out to Joe for getting us all together, and Bill and Dale for the Friday night feast!!Last edited by Susan; 09-13-2020, 03:07 PM.ain't skeered

Beth and I made it home at 10:30 this morning. The rally was great, even if Saturday was a rainout. Still great seeing all the attendees. K1Dude wins the award for the furthest to travel, with an honorable mention going to KarlB. Thanks for the non-invitation, Joe.?I’d rather think someone’s a son of a bitch than to have him think I’m a son of a bitch.

Great times!! Even with the weather the riding days were mostly rain free, but when it did rain it didn't mess around. This was Friday afternoon in the Cullasaja Gorge.
And as soon as it started, it stopped. This is about 30 miles later later on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Another pic of the rain we rode through. The Klim's work. We were dry even after going through that.
Most of the refined Hooligans decided to stay dry on Saturday. Or something like that.
Looking forward to next time!!

Holly smokes...what a great time. For me, Friday only but that did a lot to "scratch an itch" since I hadn't ridden for a while. Friday was a special treat for me in a couple of ways. First: After about 15 years or so I finally got to meet Karlb and 2nd, after years of teasing, Jeff finally crossed to the east side of the Mississippi River . It was great seeing both of y'all in addition to all the other folks that we've all bonded with through the years. And second, to scratching an itch: I just recently sold me last bike and even though I've been doing some local riding until its sale, it doesn't compare to riding with a bunch of friends. I've got to give a special shout out to BMJ for his incredible generosity in allowing me to exercise his brand new street fighter for the entire day (5 tanks of gas, LOL) and damn I'm so impressed. At 208 HP, I'm pretty sure it's the most powerful bike I've ever ridden. I think I put half of it's mileage on Friday...just short of 1000 mile on the meter when I reluctantly returned it....scratch free.
Friday Bill, Joe, Matt and I ventured onto some roads north and east of MV, many I hadn't been on before which were a real treat. The only hiccup was following Matt on the return since Joe and Bill had to return early for a variety of reasons. Well, Matt almost knew where he was going from time to time but we went out of our way at the end of the ride to the point that the SF almost ran out of gas...again!
And beyond all that, a great big thanks to Dale and Bill for the fish fry Friday night. What a treat! Y'all should open a restaurant...after covid is done screwing with us all.
So another non invitational in the books and some great memories. I'll look forward to next year, 2 wheels or 4...ya never know. LOL!Last edited by Loggiebone; 09-13-2020, 02:00 PM.

Hey, you guys. Man, I am so sorry to have missed this high quality apex event. Other family obligations came up. They were avoidable, but needed to be attended to. While you all were enjoying the rides in the mountains, I was in Houston, Texas. Oh, well, it's my loss - not yours. Hope there's a next time!
