Another recently paved road goes from Georgetown to Grant. We have not been on that one.

Victory and I are in, reservations made. We're going to meet in Green River, Utah and take three easy days to get to Gunnison... with stops in Ouray and South Fork. I'm looking forward to riding Cottonwood Pass again!!

Where are you staying in South Fork? Thought about trying there for a overnight stop there this trip.
On the way home thought about staying at Naturita and South Fork.

Lee, Vic and I will be staying at the Quality Inn & Suites in South Fork. Last year we stayed in a little place in Creede, but lodging is very scarce in Creede...

Quality Inn and Wolf Creek Lodge are the places I looked at online. There's a Mexican restaurant close enough to walk to.

I loved Torrey enough to take my family there. Ate at a joint called Cafe Diablo. It was excellent both times. The cherry on top is UT12.

Getting ready for a tire and oil change after BRPR. RMR 2022 will be 8053 miles via Idaho. We have another set of tires on hold in Grand Junction.

Yesterday I made reservations for the trip out. At one place we got the last room.
Right now we arrive Monday, but I might change to Tuesday. Thinking about staying in Idaho Springs Monday, then take the Deckers road and Cottonwood Pass to Gunnison.

We will be headed to Colorado by way of Idaho in a few weeks. Today I made a few alternate plans for the ride our just in case we can't get across Yellowstone NP. Massive flooding and land slides continue along our route in Red Lodge, Beartooth Pass, Yellowstone and Gardiner. Roads gone, bridges gone. Not sure they can reopen the east or north entrances in just 4 weeks, and that includes Beartooth Pass (our actual destination for that area). Our motel in Red Lodge was completely submerged on the bottom floor yesterday. Lots of people have lost or damaged homes and businesses so our reroute is just a minor inconvenience if we have to do that. Albeit possibly a long minor reroute.

I had the shop order two sets of Roadsmart 3 a month ago so I'll probably still take those.
With the $60 rebate per set they're a little cheaper than the Roadsmart IV set with the free front.
If he does not have two sets of IVs on hand I might be taking a chance the IVs would not arrive in time for Colorado.

We're trying the RS IVs to Gunnison, back to PR4s for the trip home, then RS IIIs either before or after AHR. If the RS tires are improved over the originals I may switch from Michelin. Reviews of the Road 5 are not the greatest and we already didn't like them. Neither one of us gets the giggles anymore when the back end steps out.

Most reports show the RS IV feels slightly better, has a softer ride and and longer life compared to the RS III.
When buying two sets at a time I like the cheaper price of the RS III. I'm trying to keep the cheap BMW rider reputation going
Today each set of RS III tires cost $170 plus tax after rebate.
