    Sgr 2020

Greetings to SGR regulars, semi-regulars, and previous and future attendees,

Although it is still six months away, it is time to start thinking about SGR 2020, and I am writing this to get an idea of the interest level in the future of SGR.

2020 will be the 13thClick image for larger version Name:	022.JPG Views:	1 Size:	211.4 KB ID:	18395

While I have only been once, it was a fantastic trip that I've very fond memories of. I won't put my two cents in one way or the other since I am not one to be counted on to go, but if I had the opportunity I would go again. Even if it's just you and me Charlie. All of the folks who attend are great, even Victory!

I’d rather think someone’s a son of a bitch than to have him think I’m a son of a bitch.

Thanks for organizing this ride Charlie. I'm giving some serious though to it. If all goes well we'll see You in Show Low in May. When we meet up with You I'd like to hear more about SGR 2020.

I for one won't miss it . Good friends and awesome roads . Was'nt there the first couple of years so never stayed in Sonora and as much as I love the small towns of Downieville and Markleeville the sevices have become more and more limited so Sonora is sounding good . I'm in

I'm planning on being there...for the first time. Been wanting to meet you guys and gals, as I've talked to you here and on the ibmw site for many years. I was really disappointed I couldn't make the Weaverville gathering as it was right smack in the middle of taking possession of our new place in Ashland Oregon. So close but couldn't carve out the time. This year will be different.

Charlie sent me a PM. We'll meet somewhere in the west after Labor Day, but with the Covid and civil unrest going on, Charlie can"t say where and when just yet. Watch this space.

Maybe Arizona? Planning anything in California will be difficult this year.

I'm sorry I can't provide more information at the moment. I am keeping an eye on the COVID and civil chaos situations in California (and elsewhere) to determine if it is feasible to proceed with SGR this year. Our "core group" of about 15 people has diminished over the years and last year there were only four of us who gathered for SGR, so it has shrunken to merely a handful of friends getting together to ride, and that is OK. This handful of friends will still gather somewhere in the western USA after Labor Day and all are welcome to join, however at this point, there are no specifics, and I am open to suggestions.

We'd love to get back out there, whether Arizona or California, but you already have your best suggestion, " I am keeping an eye on the COVID and civil chaos situations in California (and elsewhere) ..."

Thanks for trying to work it out in spite of all the impediments Charlie. I could be easily persuaded to ride in Eastern AZ and Western NM after Labor Day. Show Low to Alpine is nice. Then Alpine to Morenci? Then 3-Way to Alpine? Then Show Low to Payson to Flagstaff? Then...?
