Great ride report from great riders and great friends of the site. Interesting that I have flown my Comanche 250 over many of the places you showed in photos. They look different from the air. You don't get to smell the air or taste the pies.

Also, is the M SPORT K1300S retired now? What are you taking to AHR?

More space and lugage options on the ugly bike?

The R1300GS has slightly more luggage room, but the biggest improvement is the saddlebag liners. They're nowhere as good as lee and Debbie's RS liners, but much better than the K1300S duffle bag type liners. BTW, we use Wunderlich liners for the GS. The BMW liners for the R1300GS are just weird and partially useless.

BTW, handling on the GS is incredibly good and the bike is a hoot in the twisties. BMW also changed the handlebar mounting system and the feedback is awesome. The suspension (7 modes with 5 damping adjustments each, just in case an owner ever gets bored) is also excellent. We actually like this GS a lot!

Charlie and Victory, THANKS! for setting this up again this year. I've been working on our route for 2026 for the last few hours. Pencil us in.

You might put Cushing, Oklahoma on that route planning.

For the many here that do not follow TheRidersPace page on Facebook, I have to report some sad news. Since returning from SGR, Victory has been hospitalized with cancer throughout much of his body, and I'm sorry to tell you that his prognosis is not good. I have been talking with his daughter, Erika, regularly, and she has also been posting updates on his condition on his Facebook page. Most recently, she posted this:

"We got some bad news this evening. The cancer has spread to a lot of his bones (back, arms, femur) lymph nodes, and adrenal glands but we’re still waiting for what type of cancer. If you talk to him about future care, he will tell you it’s taken care of, but it is not. I’ll be talking to the social service gal tomorrow as they want him discharged at 1, but that is not happening. Thank you, ALL for your visits, calls and text messages. It’s super over welming, but your thoughts and care is what gets him through the day."

I'm sure that Vic would be happy and apperciative to hear from any and all of you. He can be reached by his Facebook page, or better, you can call or text him on his cell: 503-957-3646

So very sorry to hear that. I met Victory when he came out for a Kentucky rally once and really liked him. I'm not a Facebook guy but I'd be happy to shoot him a text.

Kneedragger, I met you and Victory for the only time at Gunnison a few years back. That was a fun time and both you and Victory were great guys to spend time with. So sorry to hear this news.

        Life's short. Ride well.

Sorry to hear the bad news. Curt passed on the info to a few of us yesterday.
Debbie and I met Victory at California, Texas and Colorado rallies.
