Interesting stop at the Choctaw Capital. Debbie and those bikes are looking good.
I have zero use for people who keep roosters (and dogs) for fighting.

The first time we saw that place and found out what it was we were surprised they could legally sell them for fighting.

High of 87 today. The outside pool at Mineral Wells Tx felt good. Probably the first time for us to use a outside pool in April.
Last year or 2022 I posted pictures of the Petrified Wood Tourist Camp with gas station, Cafe and cabins with car ports in Decatur TX.
The high point of the day was meeting the man who's wife is the granddaughter of the couple who built and ran the place. We had a good visit.

Also met this guy who was getting his 1924 Chevy ready for a long road tour.

Glad we're not arriving in Mineral Wells this afternoon. Forecast high of 59 and 90% rain.

Of all things, the family of a deputy sheriff friend of mine all live in or near Utopia. How big can it really be? Small world.

60 and clouds almost all morning. Started to warm up when we stopped in Fredericksburg for icecream.
80 when we arrived in Utopia.
We're at the Sabinal River Lodge.

High of 79 today. 80% chance of rain but we managed to get in 140 dry miles.
Light rain now here in Utopia.
A lot of BMW and British bikes on the road. BMW MOA had a local club rally at Kerrville and it looked like the British bikes were at Leakey.
The weather was iffy at Leakey so we didn't pull in to the Leakey Inn to check out the bikes.
Saw Mike's Dad at Lost Maples Cafe this morning. He said Mike is in Hawaii for 2 years with the Navy.

Cold, windy and cloudy until close to noon. We took off shorty after noon with clear skies and not much wind. Warmed up to 72.

The burgers and other food (and beer) at that place is surprising. Great food and moderate prices at a mtorcycle joint out in the middle of nowhere (OK, it's only a mile or so to Leakey, Pop. 315 (2020 census).

They sell them at Costco. I was there yesterday and people were trying them out.
