Today We drove down to Huntsville Ar for breakfast.
After that we went to the pottery shop in Osage, then up 21 to Berryville for icecream.
A car club was there for a lunch stop.
The supercharged LS engine in the Camaro made 700 HP
The owner said it cost him $120,000 to have the car built.
Besides the modern engine, it had modern suspensionLee

Arrived home late afternoon Wednesday.
A little under 4,000 miles in 20 days in the car.
Other than taking the bicycles to Mackinac Island, this was our first car vacation since getting married in 1977.We decided to take the car 3 days before our planned departure date on the bikes. It worked out well.
If we decide to not buy a bike for two up riding it looks like car trips will work for us.

Second day out on the way to Bandera we stopped on the TAT to visit our friend Percy. He's doing quite well and gave Susan a 29 second hug. Susan was counting. The TAT is the road that goes straight. It is known as "the uninsured driver road".
Hollis Arkansas breakfast stop. We arrived cold and starved at 9:59am. They opened at 10.
Arbuckle Fried Pies offers many wonderful delights. We ate good on this trip.
A few miles on down the road...
We are not afraid of weather but we do respect it. These are the next two days out. The three day forecast was 40% chance of snow with a high of 38º. Reroute time.
Breakfast stop. Guess where we are.
At the Pancho Villa State Park we came upon the Tesla Cybertruck prototype which is also known as The Jeffery Quad Armored Truck built in 1915.

Waiting for check-in in Bisbee Arizona. The wind is really messing with my dandruff.
The next morning.
First time back here in over 30 years.
From Oatman to Seligman Arizona on Route 66.

I like that section of Rt 66 from Kingman to Seligman via Peach Springs. My family caravaned on Rt 66 from Oklahoma to Southern California in the summer of 1965. Only disconnected (and short) segments of 1-40 were open then. All the famous towns and cities had Rt. 66 go straight through the middle of town. It was actually a glorious epic trip.

Our route went from counter-clockwise to clockwise, Seligman to Bisbee AZ. This is why. This snow is 4 days old.
20 miles west of Eagar AZ our route was altered once more due to snow. This one only costs us a few miles. Here's the picture.
We travel light. Some do not. No idea how you get a 900 pound bike loaded like that.
New Mexico back road headed to Roswell was fun and beautiful. Very little traffic.
We had coin. They had food.
"Old Yeller"
Texas. Ride aware, cause sometimes it ain't always deer.

We've been riding past this store for over 20 years. Finally stopped.
Finally made it to Bandera.
The official National WASP WWII Museum, Sweetwater Texas. Women's Airforce Service Pilots. These women ferried military planes from Sept 1942 to Dec 1944.
Yes we are, and if you are nobody messes with you.
Breakfast stop.
We are an hour and a half from home. Susan had her 4th, 5th, and 6th cups of coffee in life on this trip.
It was fun, cold to very cold at times, and extremely windy on many days all day. But it was a dry wind.
Speed safe.
