      Having trouble posting tonight
Nothing new that I could see at Gordons.
A local told us the main partner of the motel died.

I guess the partner slept in it one night. Did the coroner rule yet? Black mold or was it the exploding heater?

After that we went to the pottery shop in Osage, then up 21 to Berryville for icecream.
A car club was there for a lunch stop.

The supercharged LS engine in the Camaro made 700 HP
The owner said it cost him $120,000 to have the car built.
Besides the modern engine, it had modern suspension

          Arrived home late afternoon Wednesday.
A little under 4,000 miles in 20 days in the car.
Other than taking the bicycles to Mackinac Island, this was our first car vacation since getting married in 1977.We decided to take the car 3 days before our planned departure date on the bikes. It worked out well.
If we decide to not buy a bike for two up riding it looks like car trips will work for us.

It doesn't matter how you get there, the important thing is that you just get there.

Second day out on the way to Bandera we stopped on the TAT to visit our friend Percy. He's doing quite well and gave Susan a 29 second hug. Susan was counting. The TAT is the road that goes straight. It is known as "the uninsured driver road".Click image for larger version

I like that section of Rt 66 from Kingman to Seligman via Peach Springs. My family caravaned on Rt 66 from Oklahoma to Southern California in the summer of 1965. Only disconnected (and short) segments of 1-40 were open then. All the famous towns and cities had Rt. 66 go straight through the middle of town. It was actually a glorious epic trip.

Our route went from counter-clockwise to clockwise, Seligman to Bisbee AZ. This is why. This snow is 4 days old.

I had my very first Frito pie there and it was wonderful. I could not finish it. While we were out front, a couple of guys walked up and asked us if this place was famous. We just smiled and said that we hoped so. Food, service and atmosphere was great!

It was fun, cold to very cold at times, and extremely windy on many days all day. But it was a dry wind.
          Speed safe.

Hey, I really enjoyed the WASP museum in Sweetwater when Cathy and I stopped a few years ago. It was a sudden unplanned stop, but well worth it. My dad was the Chief Engineering Officer for a P-51 squadron during WWII. He had interesting things to say about these women pilots.
