Used this technique to plug a nail hole in a vertical ABS waste pipe.

Pics show steps and tools including an ABS zip tie.

Third pic shows nail hole dished out with soldering iron.

Fourth pic shows added abs from zip tie.

    Last pic shows sanded finish.

Actually, believe it or not, there were 7 nail holes.

All now completely and permanently sealed.

Previous owners had installed a built in desk.

I was very surprised at how long the base material stays warm. Just used an OLD straight electric soldering iron. It's very comparable to "brazing" in U.S. parlance,vs say wire or Tig welding.

Black track bike Bobby. Got some cheap race bodywork off fleabay and painted it single stage black...... which makes sense from a,*TIDTR and repaint it standpoint. But had some base/clear leftover from the youngest's Ford Fucus and figured, what the hay. The bodywork didn't come with the tank cover. So now it's not only fixed but sporting BC/CC and all matched.... more or less, black.

Will update this with another pic in a cpl weeks.

*TIDTR ; throw it down the road
