Question for those who have installed Helibars. How do you keep the clutch cable from snagging on the ignition plug cover. The cable is secured against the faring and is threaded around a part of the wiring harness, so it would be difficult to get in there and Can I file off the point of the plug cover so the clutch cable can slide over it more easily?

Hi, you have to clip the zip tie inside the right fairing. It hard to get in there but be very careful that all you clip is the tie. Once that's done the clutch line will be just long enough to clear the ignition. Clipping the zip has no negative effects.Last edited by cabnfvr; 06-06-2020, 06:26 PM.

Bobby, you may want to try Grip Puppies. I just installed them (chimp simple to do) and will know in a few days what I think of them. We leave for Arkansas on Thursday. I'll post my thoughts soon thereafter.
Grip Puppies, about 20 dollars from Amazon. (Do not get Grip Buddies. Different animal.)
As installed.
Pic number 2.

Just an fyi...and I endorse them too. But: Your heated grips will take longer to feel (if you have them) and when hot they can drag on the throttle housing so don't but them all the way up tight. And lastly, they'll soak up water if your bike is out in the rain unprotected. Still, worthy addition.
