She went on to say, if any of us absolutely have to watch TV, we can join her most evenings at her house for classic reruns of Leave It To Beaver, The Addams Family & Star Trek. And if anyone has an old VCR, she has a pile of Harold's old Golden Age of Porn VHS tapes we can watch. She will provide the snacks if we bring the beer!

    Seriously, no TV this year.
Curt she's just trying to get you in the house for a little quality time

You may want to draw a line through the Pool too. Honestly, never really noticed the TV other as someplace to hang my laundry.

I've heard about a sock on the doorknob but I have no idea what a sock on the TV means...

Great looking accommodations. I forget after a few months away, what a really nice place the Gordon is. In-room heaters, plush carpets, fine sturdy wood-grained steel furniture, and doors that shut. What else does a person need, anyway? (I think last year, our room also had some classy artwork in frames on the wall.)

Still have my patch from the 1st AHR.

If I can get a working motorcycle, I may try to attend this year.

The final drive bearing is kaput on the K12RS and my dealership doesn't do that repair (too expensive and difficult?).

Buy a used rear end and just swap them out. It’s faster and cheaper than repair. I did that on my R1150GS after its rear bearings went out last year at the Non-Invitational.

Rob, Good advice. It's either that or a new to me bike. Got a lot going on now with multiple home remodeling projects.

Kewl, I had forgotten about that first pic! Guess you hadn't! Worse case we can get a to go order and use the bike for a table at Oark and do the same at the Ozark bringing it back to the Gordon.
Is the Blue Mountain Cafe and Bakery still open, I hope?

Chuck Manley said Oark had a picnic area set up. Maybe that means picnic tables which would work good.
Google shows take out only for Blue Mountain but I noticed on our Colorado trip Google was wrong on the take out only thing half the time.

Susan, I'm as good a cookie and pastry eater outside as I am inside. Take out from Blue Mountain will work for me!

Oh, BTW, that picture of you and Tim at the Oark is a classic. How could you forget ? It's almost as good as the one where you guys are going up what I suppose is Deal's Gap.

I got a call from Mrs. Gordon today who asked that I try & get an idea of how many will need rooms in Jasper. She's concerned about attendance as only a few rooms have been reserved. We have some time yet between now & then but if turnout is going to be small, she'll have a hard time justifying opening up the upper section for us. So, if you're considering making the scene in Jasper & you haven't made your reservation yet, be thinking about it. If you're going for sure, give Roselyn, I mean Mrs. Gordon, a call.

If you've never been to the Ozarks, it's some of the best riding around this area & by October, the leaves will be turning and the temps will be a little cooler. If you're on the fence about coming, just do it... if you know you're coming, make sure Mrs. Gordon hears from you. Always, a good time... fun lunchtime destinations, beautiful scenery, curvy roads, curvy women & guaranteed parking lot shenanigans, antics and all around tomfoolery.

Oh yeah, Jasper's in a dry county, so bring your own hooch & party favors.

Last minute trips almost always end up being the most fun Bill!! If you find last minute you can make it, c'mon down!! Surprise attendees receive the coveted Rally Rascal, the Mayor of Jasper's own personal mobility scooter for riding anywhere within Jasper city limits during the AHR. Tempting I know & a pretty sweet deal if you ask me!
