All great stories start out at 46ΒΊ and foggy and needing gas.
Stopping for a break in JawJuh.
Searching for breakfast in Amory MS. We removed our heated liners and petted a dog.
The man. The myth. The legend. Percy. When the TAT opened he put up a sign. He gets visitors from all over the world.
IYKYK.
After years of riding past and around we finally had time to stop and explore Petit Jean State Park, AR.

Just outside PJSP we found this. We took thousands of pictures. Here are a couple.
Checking out the road from Petit Jean's gravesite overlook.
Breakfast was good and Susan took this picture safely from across the road in the courthouse lawn thus avoiding being hit by BF trucks.
Anyone know what this was??? We've been riding past it for over 20 years. (Near 374 and 123 intersection.)
Waiting for Wishbone and Rowdy to get the vittles ready. Thanks again to Bill and Dale, and to Cathy for the coleslaw!
123 headed to Oark.
1.2 seconds after this picture was made the crowds rushed in. The fellow in the yellow jacket is Don. His daughter and son-in-law own the cafe.
Guess where we are.

This is all that's left of Mr and Mrs Gordon's home. The upper units are leveled as well, and the bottom section will be soon.
Jawing with friends at Heidi's UC.
Interesting stop in Bull Shoals.
Stopping for breakfast on the way home.
A bit of the Old Natchez Trace.
82 miles from home.
Checking out repairs from hurricane Helene.
Maybe TMI but in case anyone needs to know.
Seems like we were just here.
We rode 9 days and 2300 miles to spend fun time with great friends. We missed those not there, and we really missed those who could not be there.

It was another fun get together. We were out 9 days.
Bill Morgan's track trailer and rolling kitchen.
I didn't think to check the pool temperature until the last night. Turns out it would have been warm enough to get in.
New cabins

Improvements being made at the Gordon Motel.
We like to check out old cemeteries.
This one was at Arkana, near the north end of the Push Mt road.
A lot of the marker were just a cement block with a aluminum plate.
Bull Shoals Dam
We usually stop at the Cotter Bridge.
This was the first time we noticed the spring and swing near the parking area.
The Cotter Trout Lodge looked like a nice place to stay but the restaurant only does breakfast and lunch. You can see the end of the bridge in the background. The staff was very friendly here.

I mentioned to Cathy while at Heidi's that I thought the Arkana Cemetary looked really nice. No fence. No fancy stuff. Just a well kept place beside the road not far from the church that many of the cemetary residents may have attended.Last edited by 955i; 10-18-2025, 11:17 PM.

We ate at Gastone's two times.
One day we checked out Hudgson Mill near Sycamore, Mo.
This mill has been closed to visitors for years but there was guy there painting and told us the history.
Last year there was a flash flood and the water was higher than my head.
This was a interesting antique shop in Shirley, Ar. Had a long visit with the owners.
Old depot at St Joe

The band Friday night was very good. They have music on the weekends on the square one block from our motel.
The last two nights were at the Edelweiss in Eureka.
