Part II
We took a Klondike bar break at the Mayberry General Store on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Mabry Mill, VA.
Susan wants a row of these in the back yard for a retaining wall.
Moth Man cookies were awesome!
Lunch stop in Owenton Kentucky at the Sweet Owen Country Store.
Small town in Kentucky.
The courthouse in Carthage is the second most photographed location in Missouri. If you want a court date this is the one you want to go to.
Dinner at the Carthage Deli. They were very good! No idea what's in the trunk.
Boots Court, Route 66, Carthage MO. This was an awesome place to hang. No TV, just a radio playing all the hits all the time.
The Worlds Largest Belt Buckle is in Abilene KS. It was hotter than heck when we took this picture.
The Worlds Largest Czech Egg is in Wilson KS. It was hotter than heck when we took this picture.
Well we did want it to get cooler, so here.

The Worlds Largest Easel is in Goodland KS. It was hotter than heck when we took this picture, but we didn't cut our ears off.
Just one of many pictures we took at the St Francis Motorcycle Museum. Take a look at this the next time you complain about your cold weather riding gear.
Crocker made beautiful motorcycles. We never heard of these until we saw it. Just one of many stunning displays.
Antlers Inn and Cafe in Walden CO was great. It was colder than heck when we took this picture. And yes, we ate every bite of it. One word, gravy!
Touching 150 million year old dinosaur bones was cool. The lady in the car parked next to us was annoying as she complained about the heat. Bless her heart.
It's a fixin' to cool off again.
This here.
Nebo Loop Road, UT. !7 miles in it was gated due to snow. No sign to inform you of that little tidbit of info. Sure was pretty though, all 34 miles of it.
Beautiful mural leaving Ely NV.
The Shoe Tree in Virginia City NV. The road from here to Sparks was great!
New shoes, Sierra BMW in Sparks NV. We took off really good tires but no way they'd go another 4500 miles.
Donner Pass chow down.

China Wall near Truckee CA is an incredible feat. All these stones were hand laid.
Lassen Volcano National Park sure is pretty after the big boom.
It was hotter than heck when we took this picture.
Mt Shasta looms.
We got here around 4:20 and ate like pythons.
Susan played with the kitty while I unloaded the bike all by myself.
Door latch installation by Stoner and Sons. Susan went all OCD and stuff.
Greatest Generation. Kingsley Field in honor of Lieutenant David Kingsley, who died at the age of 25 during WWII.
Keep them doggies moving.
Usually we're outside when it looks like this. We try not to get used to luxury.
It all in perspective. Everything one needs for a 28 day trip.

Pinedale WY. Home of the Mountain Man.
Mountain Man Museum. Next time you think you're having a bad day look up the story of Hugh Glass.
Dang, this don't look good. No place to go but forward.
And yes, we were watching the red and yellow radar screen and speeding safely. Sure.
Did y'all know about this place?
Carhenge in Alliance NB. It was either this or Old Jules grave.
There are a million stories in the west. This is one of them.
I like all things Texaco. Inside the garage were an immaculate 69 Camaro RS, a 70 Challenger, and a 68ish Plymouth Fury.
The Worlds Largest Baseball is in Kansas. There's a little door in the back where you can stand in the shade.
Ripping it up in Kansas!
Taking a break in the shadow of The Big House, aka Leavenworth KS. They have a Visitor Center.
Almost home.
