As opposed to anything unofficial. The rally will be held from Thursday May30th to Sunday June 2nd at the Iron Road Inn in Elkins, WV. While a ways from the Blue Ridge Parkway there's great riding in every direction. www.ironroadinn.com. Call in to make your reservation, 304-637-1888, identify yourself with the TRP group. Rooms are $80 a night if you do that, $95 if you don't. Don't try and make your reservation online unless you have $15 to throw away. Don't wait to make your reservations as the gentleman I talked to, Howard, said there's a group planning to do a poker run there during that time. If you do F**k up and wait too late there are other options in Elkins you just won't be staying with the cool kids. Howard said they're very biker friendly, was happy to have us. They have a tent outside we can grill under and it looks like they have plenty of space for trailers, etc. BillGSA stayed there once and recommended it. Also the ancestral home of some of Rob's family I think. So there you have it, make your reservations ASAP.

That's the very weekend of my lovely wife's anniversary alumni weekend at her college in Hoboken NJ - and she's kind of a big deal in those circles. So...in other words, it's a perfect time for me to go for a ride and I'll be calling to make my reservations at the Iron Road Inn. It saves me from being her arm candy all weekend.

That's our bike between Bert's yellow taxi (with the helmet on the pavement) and one of the many red K's. Fun times!
Almost forgot, big thank you to Wes for setting this up! Even though we won't be making the scene this year.Last edited by Susan; 03-13-2024, 09:56 AM.

1st 2 route suggestions, these both go south & hit some roads we've done on previous BRPR's.
1. Basic route is 200 miles.
Rt 219 south thru Marlinton to Rt 39 west
Then Rt 20 north to Webster Springs
Then Rt 15 back to Rt 219 north to Elkins
Rt 15 between Webster Springs & 219, 08 BRPR
Options, 219 to 66 to 92 to 39 adds 30 miles
. 219 to 66 to 28 to 39 adds 20 miles
219 to 150 to 39 same amount of miles
Rt 150 overlook 08 BRPR
Last year
Another option is 150 to Williams River Rd to Rt 20. It's closed for the winter so Google maps won't let me see how long it is.
It's a very narrow road thru the woods along the Williams River.
A pic from last year.

Just north of Sutton turn right on Rt 15 (Airport Rd)

Can't stay until Sunday if I do go, but may be there earlier in the week for a few days.
I'd like to ride a new area.

Normally I'd leave here the weekend before, but that's a holiday. So, probably not an ideal time to get hotel rooms.
For shits and giggles I will see what there is available and what prices are like. I don't ride highways so traffic isn't
a concern. It's a three day ride from here on back roads. I don't usually plan my routes and make reservations in
the afternoon when I can see where I'll be at the end of the day.
