We headed up to Foothills Parkway, where my wife and I will go to just talk about things. This is the overlook the day before.
A few things need to be pointed out in this picture. The first is the side panel. This is the one that was replaced from William's wreck. We bought a used side panel from a black bike. William had to get the stickers off, sand it, spray it and then, of course, apply the stickers. It came out looking pretty good. The second piece comes in the form of a thank you to Doug and MaryAnn for Julie's gear. She absolutely loved it and it fits like a charm. Also, both of them are wearing the Gerbings so I thank you again, my friend, we appreciate the gear!
Just so you know, the boy has enough of me in him to make my wife's head snap around and say, "WTF!"
Of course, I had to jump into the picture, to pretty things up a bit! And no, William isn't my real kid and the proof is that he doesn't even look like me!
Here's another picture along the Foothills, Look Rock is the stop. The Foothills Parkway is in the picture headed southwest towards US129.
Since it was his first outing in a while we headed back home, never stopping for lunch. We did let him choose a place to go for dinner and he wanted steak, so that's where we went. It was a great day and he was really happy to be back on the bike. I thought he was done with it after his get off and long absence, but this short ride (less than 100 miles) might have been enough to spark his interest again. And it didn't hurt any having his mom out riding with us. Now if we could just figure out who to meet for lunch on our next ride to say, NC...

He has a fantastic bike!
Gorgeous is Julie in her riding gear! Maybe we can arrange a meet up at Tellico Plains one Saturday soon?
