Always taking the fun out of things! How about a portable cpap? I've got one.Originally posted by aviator View Post
I know a few who sleep on their side in a hammock.
They are a no no for someone with CPAP.

Not always... in the style of hammock I have, sleeping on your side is not the most comfortable but can be done. There's another style of hammock called a "bridge hammock" that allows for a much flatter lay that allows you to sleep on your stomach & your side as shown in the image below. You can see how the ends of the hammock are different, gathered end (like mine) vs. spreader bars on both ends of a bridge hammock.
The trick to getting as flat a lay as possible in a gathered end hammock, is to sleep in a slight diagonal position... some prefer sleeping head left, feet right, others head right, feet left. I know it sounds funny but it works. Otherwise, you're sleeping in a curved banana like position which is not the most comfortable.Last edited by McFly; 04-18-2019, 08:48 AM."Everybody knows you never go full retard". - Kirk Lazarus

There are many guys who backpack & hammock with their CPAP machines, believe it or not. I belong to a forum, called Hammock Forums and it's a great resource for learning about hammocks & hanging.Originally posted by justjoe View PostAlways taking the fun out of things! Need to get an account and read up. Useful for work. I do a lot of sleep medicine and peeps always come up with questions. I like to read up and offer something for them.Originally posted by McFly View PostThere are many guys who backpack & hammock with their CPAP machines, believe it or not.
