Man, can you imagine believing a study that finds smoking is good for you, when such study was financed through Big Tobacco?

I had two shots plus the booster and got the cooties in July. My fever only lasted a day and I felt pretty good after two days. I'll probably go get the omicron booster, flu shot, and the shingles vaccine later this week when I go in to see my Doc.

The shingles vaccine is about 95% effective. That's a real vaccine that makes sense.

Big Pharma is "on it." They will debut a 30% effective shot that lasts about 6 months before you need to buy another one. ( And, you'll be selfish not to get one.)

Pfizer recently clocked $36 B into their coffers. Interestingly, government officials do not have to disclose a financial conflict of interest due to a law passed in the 1980's.

I got the first three pokes and nothing since.....
I haven't really been following it other than there was the omicron variant
and then there was another maybe ?
I haven't had the flu shot in over three years and haven't been sick that I
can recall in a very long time.
I got the shingle vaccine a while ago after EricM got shingles and told me
to go get it because it wasn't fun. The second shot made me feel like I had
the flu and my arm hurt so bad that I thought I'd torn my bicep tendon again.
When I realized that it was the side effect of the shot, I went to work.

Exercise, fresh air and eating reasonably healthy along with vitamin D and
        C. I do enjoy a good cocktail a few time a week too.
If I wake up and feel a little off, I get on my elliptical and get moving. Then it
        soon passes.

There's really only so much shit I want put into me. I'm hoping that my own
immune system will be able to fight things off.

I should check when I got the Shingles shots, if I recall correctly it was good for ten years. I will most certainly let them poke a little hole in me if it prevents a Shingles episode.

Local radio is reminding us to get a COVID booster if it has been more than 2 months since our last booster or the initial vaccines.

So are we supposed to get a booster every 2 months???

Or is this because a new vaccine is now available that's better than the previous ones?

My wife and I have gotten all the vaccines (Pfizer) and boosters, including the new "mouse vaccine." So far, so good.

Many of us older types forget to get boosted with the Tdap vaccine every 5-10 years. We got ours this summer after I stepped on a nail. Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) Vaccine - CDC

The publication targeting the global elite has published an article debunking a conspiracy theory blaming the global elite for enacting a campaign that many of the global elite support. Weird...

We watched a YouTube video last night about the Gatlinburg fire. As some of you might know, our home of about 15 years was one of the casualties.

One of the reasons the fire was so bad, beyond the drought and high winds, was the build up of timber kindling in the forest due to the over control of wildfires. About 80 years of kindling had accumulated prior to the fire. (Note: Rebuilding has taken place without consideration of building fire resistant structures.)

So with COVID, populations have gone into hiding to avoid this virus, but also, without intention, avoiding all viral diseases. Without vaccinations, this results in a weakened immune system and a greater susceptibility to all viral infections.

OTOH, those that disregarded quarantine kept their immune systems strong by eliminating the build up of kindling (that is the natural strengthening of the immune system).

Yes. Over 2,200 homes destroyed and 14 deaths. Some of the latter were neighbors.

I just recently saw where some countries are not making the boosters available to anyone under the age of 30 (Australia for example) citing that the risk does not outweigh the benefit.
