I have super powers now..... !
The day after Thanksgiving, Nov 25th I got the Flu and Covid (2nd booster,
or 4th if you're counting) in the left arm.
On Nov 30th, at my annual physical I took two more, Tetanus and Pneumonia
in the right arm.
Both times my arms hurt like hell that evening and the next morning, but I got
up, got going and did a workout anyways.

I too had the multiple shots. The best way I found to rid of the pain in my arms was to do a work out.....seemed to dissipate the pain quicker.

My doc told me that shingles is visiting people who were previously vaccinated for chicken pox in disproportionately large numbers. Her conclusion is that if you're a younger person that was vaccinated you're more susceptible to shingles whereas if you lived during an age where we all got chicken pox as kids you're pretty unlikely to get it - or need the shingles vaccine. I haven't seen the actual data so take that physician's advice for what it's worth.

I feel that natural immunity is something you have to work at, it just doesn't
come naturally. You have to exercise it by exposing yourself to things.
My immune system is in hyper-overdrive from the work I've done for the
past 45 years. Same with pain threshold, some are better than others.

That shingles opinion about those who previously had chickenpox basically flies in the face of what's known about shingles. Chickenpox and shingles are the result of the same virus which stays dormant after chickenpox and later can manifest itself as shingles. If you've never had chickenpox you won't get shingles, you'd get chickenpox first if exposed to the virus. Having chickenpox first is what makes it possible to get shingles. My cousin, a young (mid 30's) OB/GYN suffered a cardiac event this past year. Her cardiologist stated that data is pointing to the Covid vaccines as the leading cause of these events in young people and said that this has been known for some time now. Unfortunately, it was mandated by the federal and state governments that all medical providers MUST get vaccinated and the number of medical professionals that he has seen has skyrocketed because of this.

I know, anecdotal, but the data that is coming out today shows this may be true. Any doctor I've had will prescribe a healthy lifestyle over meds, but if you're
not going to exercise, eat healthy and get rest, they will give you a pill.
So many change AFTER they've had a heart attack, stroke and so on....
I don't like that any company that had anything to do with sitting on your
ass (Netflix, Zoom, etc...) made a lot of money during the beginning of the
pandemic.

Before a TB vaccine came out Dr Trudeau was stressing the importance of fresh
air, exercise, and diet for his patients' health. After watching his brother die
of TB and contracting it himself he moved to the Adirondacks for what he though
would be the final days of his life. But he didn't, instead he got better. They
built Cure Cottages where people stayed and he hired people to work them.
Once the antibiotic was available it put the cure cottages out of business. Now
they are mostly private homes.

I knew my friend's dad was a doctor in Saranac Lake where she grew up and
she's said he went there to "cure". I thought that she meant he cured patients.
But she said no, he "cured". What they meant was that people went there
so their bodies could "cure" themselves. No meds, just fresh air, rest, diet and

Vermont was the test state for the first program. They were delivered by the postman
and they were too big for a normal mailbox so he had to deliver them to the door.
The next batch were packaged smaller and they fit in the mailbox.

I've had Shingles and I have had Covid x2.... I DEFINITELY do NOT want shingles again!!!!

No, I am not vaccinated. I was originally waiting because there was no long term information yet now I feel that I have clearly made the right choice for me. I don't think the choice is right for everyone, yet it is a personal need. I have been around it a great deal but I don't see a need for the vaccine.

It's sad how political and even polarizing this topic has been. It makes perfect sense that as time goes on we'll have better and better data about the efficacy and side effects on the vaccines and it's interesting to me that the "Science is Real" people are clinging hardest to beliefs they held that are really starting to be contradicted by the emerging studies. One report I read recently that was provided by my MD said that all arm pokes are not equal. It said the vaccine is a full strength when it leaves the factory (maybe) but as soon as it it no longer kept at the proper temperature (like at mass vaccine sites) it begins to weaken. In fact it may be more likely that you'll suffer a really bad side affect if you were an early/full strength poke and if yours was near the end of the day you may have gotten hardly any dose at all. That'll make tracking the efficacy and side affects nearly impossible. The whole thing is a hot mess and it's really disappointing that the world wasn't better at making good science and medicine without money and quarterly profits tainting the world response to the pandemic.

This comment is very pertinent! Science is in fact a changing element, Polio was once a scientific newbie, there were a lot of failures, developments, successes, etc... in the years when it was being fought. Was the science wrong? yes, undoubtedly, the science needs to be open to error, it needs to be questioned.

This topic absolutely became a source of divide in a ridiculous way. Many were convinced that those who didn't want the vaccine were "right wing loons", "anti government", "anti-science", etc... those who didn't have it cast those who did as "followers", "gullible", "irrationally afraid", "anti-science", etc... in the end, there was, undoubtedly, science supporting both sides. There are absolutely people who should have the vaccine. There are absolutely a great deal of support that many are in worse health after having it. The VAERS database has been brought down by the fact that events are not being reported as they should be. Government created much of this divide and the money can certainly be followed.

I don't mind people who made a choice to get the vaccine, and many today no longer care if I have it either. All I know is that I made the right choice (thus far) for myself. We gave my step-son the choice and he got it, nothing should be mandated though.
