visited Dinosaur National Monument today.
When we were there in the 80s they were still excavating bones.

Went back to DNM this morning before heading to Gunnison.
Had our hottest day , 107 F and almost got a room at Delta.

107! That's hot. I was in Vegas once and it was 108. If it wasn't for the $25 Margarita I don't know if I would have made it.

Australia was pretty hot , but luckily very dry . Three weeks of 37C , or 99F , in a row , with a top of 107F one day ...

Had a bit of heat exhaustion in Vernal Utah two years ago on way to Paonia rally. Not fun.

We forgot and left the car at home ?
We had a 80 mile stretch with no service or a shady spot to stop north of Lamo. At Loma we sat iside a gas staion for 30 minutes or more drinking water and Gatorade . 30 miles later we stopped again for water and ice cream. After that we rose in elevation and were comfortable. We also wet down our neck tubes and helmet liners.
