When is everyone showing up? I'll be there mid/late afternoon Thursday unless I can get away earlier. Coming from Annapolis I usually hook on to the north end of the BRP and take that down to it takes me about an extra hour.

Mike, just a few weeks ago you wanted to swap dates for the BRPR and DGR. My comment then stands. If you want to see a rally held at the Wattstull in May or September, put it together. It's not that hard, but there is a bit of work and quite a bit of thought that goes into when to schedule. And where.

To add a small caveat to Joe's comment, correct, it's not that hard to set up. If ..... if you have a motel that wants a motorcycle group, if you find a motel that will block rooms without YOUR personal credit card to hold them (making you responsible for late cancellations, room damage, etc.) and IF it doesn't rain. Then you have the people who want it a different place, different time, etc. etc. etc. My hat's off to Curt, Joe, Bill and Wes for taking the ball and running with it for several of our get togethers. BTDT. Some places are easy, most are not.

Sorry that came out like that, it wasn't meant to be a complaint. I know first hand
the work that goes into setting up something like this. In the beginning it was held
in April but the northern riders couldn't get out in the snow. It was changed to May
and it seemed perfect. Then for whatever reasons it kept moving later. By June we
have events happening up here. In the fall no sane person would want to leave here.
If you haven't been here in the fall you wouldn't understand.

I asked about switching the events to see what would happen and also making it a
mid week rally to allow northerners to take a week off to make it. Thinking now, yes
a rally in NC in June may be hot too, but there's always late April/ Early May.

Again, my apologies to you all and end of story !!

Afton Inn. A guy has an incredible spot and screws it up. Beginning of the BRP, incredible views, and now it's closed and falling into disrepair.
